The GATEWAY to Natural Resource Management

The philosophy behind the Forestry Assistance Programs is to protect our native Michigan forests through planned management.  With wise use we can increase biodiversity, preserve native species and increase the value of our woodlots for timber production.

 

 Services available are:

 

·          Advice and referrals for timber marketing and sales.

·          Timber stand improvement.

·          Tree and shrub planting recommendations.

·          Buffer strip planning and assistance.

·          Windbreak establishment and management.

·          Wildlife habitat creation and enhancement.

·          Prairie and grassland planting assistance.
